Job description

The Department of Physics is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in experimental biophysics.


The appointed candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and gratuate levels, supervise graduate students, engage in ongoing research and publication, and contribute to the academic life and reputation of the University.


  • Ph. D. in physics.
  • A record of outstanding research achievements.
  • Strong commitment to teaching.
  • The appointed candidate will be expected to pursue a vigorous research program in experimental biophysics. Candidates from all fields of biophysics are encouraged to apply. However, priority will be given to candidates with research interests aligned with those present in the Department: membrane protein biophysics and bionanoelectronics.
  • An adequate knowledge of the French language (written and spoken) or a strong commitment to mastering the proficiency level required*.
